What is a FOG written by Marie Hado

Recently I was asked what “FOGS” are and I will do my best to try to define them.
FOGS come in all shapes and sizes, but mainly are grey and khaki in color. FOGS are usually over 50 years old and under 80. But there are junior FOGS and senior FOGS that you come across occasionally. FOGS are usually found in small groups clustered around a Triumph, as it usually takes more than one FOG to repair one. FOGS prefer to be in tight spaces surrounded by electronic devices, most of which they cannot hear. FOGS have a curious nature and like nothing more than to take a Triumph apart and put it back together again and again and again. FOGS are weatherproof and can take both heat and cold without complaint, at least while they are in their Triumph. FOGS are pretty hardy. FOGS only need hats and sunscreen as they prefer the open air. FOGS are carnivores and love to eat mainly Mexican and BBQ cuisine. FOGS also drink wine…a lot of it. FOGS like to party especially before and after a FOG journey. FOGS are huggers. Don’t be surprised if a FOG gives you a great big hug. They are just being friendly. FOGS are companionable by nature, but enjoy being one with their Triumph, too. A FOG will do anything to keep his Triumph looking young. It is like a Trophy Wife to a FOG; demanding a lot of attention and money. Most FOGS by this stage of their life have time and money to spend on their Love, even if their “real” wife has not been to Italy. Most FOGS are loyal to this Love, but some Loves get passed around and around and around. FOGS have tiny mascots that travel with them on their dashboard and a leader FOG who does most of the work. So far there are no female FOGS in existence. But, there are many young male FOGS right now being raised in homes just like yours. My advice is to have a FOG Fund set aside for your future FOG. A FOG could be anyone… fussy, funky, friendly, funny, forgetful, feisty, foggy…

This is as much as I know about FOGS.
Have you met a FOG today?
